I started off
by opening my original image, duplicated the image of Jarvis Cocker, selected
duplicated layer and then used the magic wand tool to highlight the background,
by pressing the delete button I cleared the background. After this, I added
text for my masthead and coverlines. To get my masthead behind Jarvis Cocker I
arranged the layers so the masthead was in-between the background layer and the
duplicate layer. I then inserted an image of the barcode in order to make it
look like a magazine. I will use these Photoshop development skills to help me
produce my music magazine later in the term.
Sarah, you have successfully completed the photoshop skills development task, using tools that will be invaluable when it comes to your main task construction. I would look to try and gain further experience on Photoshop and be sure to record any practice work that you do on your blog.
